TheShawarmaPalace.com was built with mobile device visitors in mind from the ground up using HTML5, CSS & customized WordPress. The owner wanted the site to be minimalist & lightweight, while retaining pleasing aesthetics & straightforward usability.
Constructed with a responsive design & layout to optimize all sorts of visitors’ browsers, the Food Menu was created with original artwork and text content, and the site menu features a drop down sub-menu with anchored page sections for speedy, accurate navigation.
To streamline site use, both the “Visit:” and “Call:” homepage marquees were linked to Google Maps® and phone-dialing tel: links, respectively. The site’s responsive menu features Call & Visit buttons displaying only for small (mobile) screens, and removes unnecessary full-site content for a cleaner mobile experience.
Standard SEO optimizations included miscellaneous revisions (address, phone number, webpage, categories, etc.), for top 10 social media sites (Yelp®, Facebook®, Trip Advisor®, et al) and updated menu submissions for menu sites (menupix.com®, Zomato®, allmenus®, et al).
Marlborofishandgame.com is a GoDaddy®-hosted domain running Mediawiki v. 1.21. The Marlboro Fish & Game wanted a new, feature-rich website that suited their needs to easily post events, host their expansive galleries, provide membership info & form downloads, and logins for contributor access to update their respective pages and calendar content.
The Events Calendars are powered by free extensible Gmail Calendars and embedded seamlessly into the site. The Social Media buttons are prominently featured and linked to the Club accounts to help drive site traffic. Social Media feed widgets incorporated into the Club News page. Google Business & Webmaster accounts created and updated to show accurate map location, hours and Google crawler sitemap submitted.
Included with their site was extensive self-help materials for the site contributors to use and learn with. Now instead of one person in charge of website updates there is a team of contributors each with a clear-cut role. Failsafes built-in to site to minimize manual administration required (self-service password recovery, backup admin & recovery accounts, Google Calendars oversight account, FAQs, videos and wiki Help articles).
The Club’s old site was still plain html with limited functionality and was difficult to maintain through the file system back-end FTP. The new logo was developed as original artistic content as a vectored, modern, web-friendly update to the old logo.
Poskecorp.com is GoDaddy®-hosted running the lean & affordable Website Builder®. It was designed to encourage visitors to give reviews to help promote higher search rankings and better Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Reviews page uses custom code inserted for Social Media widget feeds to render real-time content from respective accounts.
Original artwork and site design concepts were collaboratively developed alongside the company owner. Social Media Business accounts, (Google Business, Yelp, Buildzoom, etc.) fully setup and widgets integrated into the site.
